    Tokhi Driving Solutions offers LR drivers licenses in Adelaide. LR or Light Rigid allows you to drive a vehicle with a GVM or ‘Gross Vehicle Mass’ greater than 4.5 tonnes but not greater then 8 tonnes.

    Essentially meaning that you can drive vehicles such as trucks, vans, tippers, special purpose vehicles & buses designed to carry 13 or more people seated.

    What is required before you can get your
    LR License in Adelaide / Australia?

    If you hold a current driver’s licence and meet the minimum driving experience requirements for the desired license class, you can drive a motor vehicle of that class without a learner’s permit – but only under learner’s permit conditions and laws.

    If you have a medical condition that may affect your ability to safely operate a motor vehicle e.g. diabetes, epilepsy, eyesight disorder, etc, regardless of whether you have previously advised the Registrar of Motor Vehicles of the condition, you may be required to provide a Certificate of Fitness to confirm that you meet the medical standards needed to hold a heavy vehicle license.

    Tokhi Driving Solutions utilises two methods of obtaining an LR license, depending upon the available resources at the time of booking.

    Vehicles on Road Test (VORT)

    VORT is a single pass/fail assessment at the end of the training program. This involves 1.5 hours warm-up lesson and then the test, usually 1.5 hours.

    Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBT&A)

    CBT&A is a training program where assessment takes place throughout the training program and allowed for re-training and re-assessment of errors.
